Dr. Venslow Greaves

Consultant Radiation Oncologist

Dr Venslow Greaves was born in Barbados and is a 1979 graduate in medicine from the UWI. He worked in the Emergency Medicine department at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Barbados before returning to Jamaica in 1982 commencing duties as a medical officer attached to the Accident and Emergency department of the Kingston Public Hospital.

He did postgraduate training in Family and Emergency medicine at the UWI, and was awarded the DM degree in 1986.

He was transferred from the Accident and Emergency department to the Radiotherapy Department at KPH in 1987.

He was trained in Radiation Oncology at the Christie Hospital NHS Trust, Manchester, UK between 1988 and 1992.

He was awarded the DMRT from the Royal College of Radiologists in 1991 and the F.F.R.R.C.S. (Ireland) in 1992.

He was Consultant Radiation Oncologist at the KPH from 1992 to 2018.

He has also been with the Radiation Oncology Centre of Jamaica from its inception in 2001 to the present time.
He enjoys cricket, playing and listening to organ music and gardening.
